During the war of Northern Aggression it was important for morale for a soldier to communicate with loved ones and friends at home to continue the connection to a more "normal" way of life.

This collection of fictional letters to and from a Southern soldier with the 44th Georgia, Company C, while on campaign are a reminder of the events of the years spanning 1861-1865.
