Franklin, Tennesee - We stopped by the Carnton Plantation first and visited a confederate cemetery just outside it's gates. If you ever visit don't neglect to rest on the back porch at Carnton.
After a short stop to read the sign at Collin's Farm we headed into the heart of Franklin, located four of the markers where Generals were killed or mortally wounded during the battle. It was disappointing to find that the battlefield has been the victim of "rural/urban sprawl".
